Tantric Prospects
Dr. Robert E. Svoboda
In early 2007 I appended myself to a Namarupa Yatra led by Robert Moses. We visited the ashram of Radhakrishnananda Chaitanya on Vaypeen Island, in the environs of Cochin. While at the ashram a group of enthused students requested me to sit with them and address some of their questions on Tantra, and on my mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda, a Tantric master who is the subject of my three Aghora books. Aghora (literally, non-terrifying) is the spiritual path that seeks to negate all that is ghora (terrible, terrifying) in life, including especially all those experiences that most people find intolerable. Vimalananda, who embraced each extremity, dedicated his life to turning his every experience into an act of worship of the divine.
